Rosie O’Donnell has revealed that she has moved out of America in January amid Donald Trump's second term as president.
The 62-year-old comedian and talk show host was born in New York but has rich Irish heritage.
Her father emigrated to the US from County Donegal as a child while her mom was Irish American.

Now, it appears O'Donnell has returned to her roots, confirming in a TikTok video on Tuesday (March 11) that she had moved to Dublin, Ireland, on January 15 this year with her daughter, 12.
Posting from her new home, she said Ireland is 'beautiful' and 'warm' though not in terms of the weather, as she said 'it's actually quite cold.'
Still, the journey to pursue a quieter, more private life in the country has been 'pretty wonderful' to the point O'Donnell confirmed she is in the process of gaining Irish citizenship.

"The people are so loving and so kind, so welcoming, and I'm very grateful," she added.
However, the LGBTQ+ rights activist and staunch Democrat also touched on why she decided to leave the US, citing the political landscape in her home country since Donald Trump returned to office for the second time.

"Although I thought I was never someone who would move to another country, that's what I decided would be the best for myself and my 12-year-old child and here we are. Here we are," O'Donnell explained before stating she is 'happy' with her decision.

The mom-of-five continued: "I miss my other kids, I miss my friends, I miss many things about life there at home and I'm trying to find a home here in this beautiful country and when it is safe for all citizens to have equal rights there in America, that's when we will consider coming back."
She continued by hinting at some of the Republican's changes to the country, saying: "It's been heartbreaking to see what's happening, politically, and hard for me personally as well.
"The personal is political, as we all know."

O'Donnell went on to say she's 'met a bunch of people' and made new friends already in the Irish capital before apologizing to her fans and others who 'were worried and who missed me.'
In her nine-minute-long video, O'Donnell then issued a plea to her fellow Americans.
"I encourage everyone to stand up, to use their voice, to protest, to demand that we follow the constitution in our country and not a king, not a man, and we don't have cruelty as part of our governing style," she said.
"Peace, people, peace.

"And protect your sanity is all I can say, protect your sanity as much as you can and try not to swim in the chaos if possible but I know it's nearly impossible when you're there in the middle of it. I'm hoping we can turn things around."
The star, who shot to fame after appearing on the TV series, Star Search, in 1984, made the big announcement after teasing on Instagram that she had moved and bought a new car to travel the country roads 'on the wrong side of the road.'
