A horror actress has claimed there’s almost no difference between working on Hollywood film sets and adult entertainment projects.
Australian actress Caitlin Stasey, 34, is best known for portraying Rachel Kinski on Neighbours as well as playing Francesca Thomas on Nickelodeon’s The Sleepover Club.
In 2022, she made a brief appearance in Smile - a horror flick directed by Parker Finn which grossed $217.4 million at the worldwide box office.
In the film, Stasey plays graduate student Laura Weaver who explains to her therapist Dr Rose Cotter (played by Sosie Bacon) that her death was foretold by an invisible entity.

During the intense chat, Laura suddenly begins to panic before calming down and sinisterly smiling while fatally slitting her own throat.
Ahead of filming Smile between October and November 2021, Stasey announced she would be venturing into the adult film industry.
Since announcing the shock move in February 2021, the Victoria-born star has directed a plethora of pornography films under the female-owned company, Afterglow.
According to the Afterglow website, the company ‘combines high-quality ethical porn with sexual wellness exercises and education’.

Opening up about her erotic role, the actor appeared on the I’ve Got News For You podcast in 2023 and claimed the subject matter was ‘pretty intense’.
Chatting with the host of the now-defunct podcast Andrew Bucklow, Stasey said: "Honestly, the content is pretty intense but it runs just like any other film set.”
“The sets tend to be really inclusive. There's a lot of women.

“In fact, I think there are more female directors in pornography than there are in mainstream film and television,” she continued.
“So, the sets that I was a part of or that I was a leader of were always really warm and kind and patient.”
She went on to explain that the jump from actor to director had been tough because: “As an actor, your job is to come in... You have control over such a small portion of this massive enterprise.
“And when you're the director, you are judge, jury and executioner.”

Elsewhere in the interview, the former Fantasy Island actress opened up about her 2021 lesbian porn film, superbly titled Eau de P***y.
Inspired by overly sexualised perfume commercials, Eau de P***y sees three women enjoying an outdoor picnic while performing various intimate acts.
“It's as if they're written by an algorithm on another planet,” she said regarding perfume adverts.

“But they're always so sexy and it always feels like sex is about to happen - everyone's sniffing each other's necks and licking each other's wrists.
“So I kind of came up with the concept of a perfume commercial that then becomes a lesbian threesome.”
Despite being busy with directing, Stasey has added a few acting credits to her name since 2021.
These include the second season of Edward Burns’ Bridge and Tunnel, the apocalyptic survival show Class of ‘07 and series five of Mayans M.C.
