Music fans think they've worked out the reason why Usher decided to wear gloves while performing his epic Super Bowl halftime show.
Musical icon Usher took to the stage to headline the high-profile gig in Las Vegas on Sunday (11 February), while the Kansas City Chiefs and the San Fransisco 49ers took a break from the field.
The singer blew fans away with his performance which included tracks like 'OMG', 'Bad Girl' and 'U Got It Bad', but as he moved about the stage there was one feature of his outfit that fans couldn't tear their eyes away from.

"Usher's sequin glam outfit and gloves are amazing," one fan commented, while another wrote: "Usher is the king of unnecessary gloves."
The singer does appear to have a habit of wearing gloves even when it's not chilly outside, and was even spotted wearing a pair during an interview before the game kicked off last night.
As a result fans have been left questioning why Usher seems to be so fond of gloves, but after watching his halftime show, many people think they know why he chose to wear them at the Super Bowl.

Usher's gloves of choice are often black leather, but as he took to the stage in Vegas, he opted for white, sparkly accessories.
At some points he was wearing just one white glove on his left hand - an accessory which might remind you of another musical icon. If so, you're not alone.
A lot of people believe the glove Usher wore at the Super Bowl was a tribute to Michael Jackson, who performed at the show himself in 1993.
"USHER WEARING THE MICHAEL JACKSON GLOVES," one viewer posted on X.

Another wrote: "Nobody talking about how Usher gave off real Michael Jackson vibes during his performance. He really went from 2 white gloves to one lol."
"Peep homage to Michael Jackson with the white gloves. I was not expecting so many wardrobe changes...," wrote a third.
Usher hasn't confirmed whether the gloves were a tribute to Jackson, but a tribute isn't the only theory fans have come up with after seeing his performance.

Other viewers have speculated the singer may be 'germaphobic', while another wondered if he was 'channelling the Queen'.
One person even wondered if Usher was keen to get in on the football action as they wrote: "I thought Usher was ready to catch passes on the field you did you see the size of those gloves!!!"
There are definitely a lot of good guesses, but I guess only the man himself knows the real reason for his love of gloves.
