Swifties are flocking to social media after Taylor Swift revealed she felt 'lonely' during a period of time she was dating actor Joe Alwyn.
While Swift has since moved on to dating Kansas City Chief's player Travis Kelce, there's a whole line of exes she's forever tied to as a result of writing music around her relationships.
And when the 34-year-old wrote her eighth studio album Folklore amid the coronavirus pandemic in early 2020, she was going out with Conversations with Friends star Joe Alwyn.

Catch the moment she speaks about it here:
Swift was performing at Melbourne Cricket Ground in Australia over the weekend as part of her Eras Tour.
On Saturday night (February 17), the star introduced 'Betty' - one of the songs on her Folklore album - with a clip of the concert recorded by a Swiftie called Carly, who goes by @karmaisacat.1989 on TikTok.

In the video, Swift says: "[I was] imagining that, instead of being a lonely millennial woman covered in cat hair drinking my weight in white wine, I instead, was a ghostly Victorian lady wandering through the woods with a candle in a candlestick holder, and I wrote only on parchment with a feathered quill. And that was in my mind, what I thought I would like, but that was not what I looked like writing Folklore."
Swift wrote the album amid the coronavirus pandemic in early 2020 - the time she was also romantically connected to Alwyn. And fans have been flooding to social media to weigh in on Swift saying she felt 'lonely' during that period of time.
One TikToker wrote: "She was with Joe but she felt lonely."

Another Swiftie responded: "I was just about to say this and then saw your comment."
A third added: "That made me sad for her! But makes her happiness now even sweeter."
Although, let's be real for a second, even if you're in a relationship with someone, you're still going to feel lonely sometimes, especially during a worldwide pandemic.
Alwyn and Swift were first linked back in 2016 but parted ways in 2023 after the relationship ran 'its course', a source told Entertainment Tonight at the time.

Several songs on not just Folklore, but Reputation, Lover, Evermore and Midnights are rumored to be about Swift's relationship with Alwyn - with fans noticing that the pop star replaced a love ballad in Folklore with a break-up ballad shortly after news of her split with the actor arose.
However, neither have publicly spoken out about one another and Swift seems to be doing just fine loved up with new boyfriend Kelce.
