Jenelle Evans’ son has been found safe and sound after he was reported as a runaway on Tuesday.
The Teen Mom star underwent a terrifying ordeal after the 14-year-old disappeared, having last been seen leaving school.
It’s unclear what caused Jace to run away, but police began searching for the troubled teen around 2:45 pm yesterday (August 15) after receiving an initial report.

Having last been sighted leaving school, Brunswick Co. Sheriff's Department were eager to locate the 14-year-old and sent out an alert in North Carolina.
The deputies also appealed to the public for more information, asking anyone who saw the youngster to contact the local authorities.
In addition, they also gave a description of the runaway stating that he’d last been seen wearing a navy shirt and grey sweatshirt, which read: “Classical Charter Schools of America.”

Thankfully, young Jace was found less than 24 hours later by local law enforcement.
Shortly after this, the Teen Mom star confirmed the news to TMZ and gave a lengthy statement about the incident.
During this, Evans hit out at rumours that the incident had been caused by an issue between her and her husband, David Eason, who she shares a daughter with.
"As a boy mom, kids can act up and rebel as I'm sure the majority of us all once did as kids too. Jace, got in trouble at school, we decided to take his phone away and that's when he decided to run off,” she explained to the tabloid.

Continuing, she added: “Jace is a good kid and we're not dealing with anything that most families don't deal with while raising children.”
“This has absolutely nothing to do with my situation with David, we do not argue in front of our children or fight in front of our kids.”
The mom-of-three concluded: “This is a teenage boy being a teenager mad that we decided to take his phone away."

Evans’ manager also told the outlet: "Jace has been found and is safely at home with Jenelle and his family, thank you to the Brunswick Co. Sheriff's Department and to everyone else for their concerns.”
The incident comes less than six months after the reality star gained custody of her son, who had been in the care of her mom Barbara previously.
She even shared the moment on TikTok, in a video showing Evans overcome with emotion as she signed the paperwork.
