Liam Payne has been honored with an emotional tribute during tonight's Grammy Awards ceremony.
It's been just three months since the former One Direction star tragically died after falling from his hotel balcony in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Although the band never won a Grammy during the peak of their career between 2010 to 2016, his loss has been keenly felt in the music industry.

Then during the Memoriam section, which recognizes musicians, artists, producers, and dozens of other creatives who have died in the past year, the 31-year-old received a nod from the ceremony in a tear-jerking tribute.
Have a look at the moment below:
This year's Grammys host, comedian Trevor Noah, said the segment was to 'remember those we've lost' as a slideshow of clips of late performers, starting with Payne, was introduced.

At the start of the clip, an old recording of the singer was played where he said: "We never expected any of this to happen - I sit and think, 'Oh, we've actually done something amazing'."
The late singer was laid to rest in a private service held in Buckinghamshire, UK, in November last year, where his former bandmates - Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson, and Zayn Malik - were all in attendance, as well as his ex partner Cheryl Tweedy, with whom he shared his seven-year-old son, Bear, with.
Although fans were hoping the band would reunite in the ceremony in homage to their late friend, Ben Winston, executive producer of the Grammys show confirmed ahead it would not be happening.

Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, Winston said: "It is a very difficult time. Losing Liam was very, very tough. No doubt about it. But, no, there will be no One Direction performance. He was the most beautiful, wonderful boy and I love him very, very much. He is in, of course, our In Memoriam, without question."
The director also said Payne's death hit him hard, adding: "Actually [Payne's passing] is a very sad thing for me - when you are going through rehearsals and seeing the clips and a guy that was sat in this office four weeks before that tragedy happened.
"It is extra sad for people - not just me who loved Liam, but for many," he concluded.
Dozens of fans have since rushed to Twitter to comment on tonight's tribute, writing that they still 'can't believe' he's gone and were moved to tears by the memoriam.
