She was relatively unknown until recently, but now podcaster Bobbi Althoff has shot to fame after a series of celebrity interviews online, most notably with Drake.
Podcast interviews with Bobbi Althoff are pretty far removed from what you might expect from a news or magazine interview. Gone are the formalities about influences, careers, and early life.
They are replaced, at least in some cases, by a chaotic almost dadaist approach to interviewing which Althoff has described as a 'parody of a good interview'.

The podcast is plainly titled The Really Good Podcast, and the interview with rapper Drake has propelled it into the digital stratosphere, racking up an astonishing 29 million views on TikTok alone, with just one video.
Her interviewing style features some unconventional questions, to say the least.
In her interview with Drake, she said she'd never heard of his songs, and asked him to buy her a flight home after the interview. Oh yes, and they did the interview lying in bed.

Imagine if Aubrey Plaza's April from Parks and Recreation decided to interview celebrities and you'll have a pretty close idea.
However, the success of the podcast, not least the interview with Drake, has had some people asking questions about how on earth she managed to get him on board.
Some even accused her of being an industry plant, which she has denied, having since explained how she got the rapper on her show.

It turns out she just asked, and he said yes. Fancy that.
Following the success of an interview with comedian Funny Marco, she saw that Drake had liked the video and then followed her.
She told Cosmopolitan: "I decided to just go for it and shoot my shot. I DM'ed Drake and asked if he wanted to be on my podcast, and he said yes. He sent me his touring schedule, and I knew that I needed to make it happen fast, so my friend and I flew to Memphis two days after the original DM was sent to record the episode."
Well there you have it, if you don't ask you don't get!

"I had an agency for brand deals, but I was doing the podcast fully on my own. It wasn’t until I posted the first preview clip of the Drake interview and it went viral that WME reached out to me," she explained.
Responding to allegations that she is a plant, she said: "I think that’s the funniest thing and it’s really fun to lean into."
