Tom Holland's former bodyguard has revealed why he never let his celebrity clients go to a public gym.
Going to the gym is a huge part of many people's routines - especially those in the film industry who might want to look particularly lean for an upcoming role.
But when you're on the road, many of us will have to ditch our usual local gym (or fancy home gym if you're a big celebrity) in favor for a different one.

You wouldn't have found any of ex-bodyguard Craig Ainsworth's clients in a Planet Fitness, however.
Ainsworth, who was once the bodyguard for the likes of Tom Holland and David and Victoria Beckham, explained this isn't because of celebrities demanding special treatment, it's actually more for privacy.
"First and foremost, [a public gym] is something we would never, ever want to go to," he explained in a YouTube video on the People Are Deep channel.

"If we're staying in a hotel or if it's absolutely necessary that we use a certain gym for a certain reason, I would always try and get it booked out and have private time."
Ainsworth went on: "This isn't just because our client's super special and needs all of the weights and all of the gym, it's purely something we'd put in place to protect their privacy.
"As you can imagine, getting any sort of footage of anyone from celebrities to dignitaries is highly sought after. It's all about privacy and it's just not worth the workout."

"There are other things we can do to keep them fit and healthy," he concluded.
Elsewhere in the video, Ainsworth discussed sometimes having to be the 'bad guy' as a bodyguard - in particular when it comes to photographs.
"If somebody recognised the client, which happens all the time, typically what you'd find is that people get very excited - but also what you have to remember is people are very aware that we're [the bodyguards] there," he said.
Ainsworth went on to note that sometimes children are fans of his clients, Spider-Man, for example, and while they still get to interact with the celebrities, he tries to stop pictures from being taken.

"If you walk into a restaurant, for example, you try and stop any photos from being taken," the marines veteran explained. "If you allow one photo, then you now have 100s of people now wanting a photo. [...] As the bodyguard you've got to play the bad guy and sort of just try and whisk them through as much as you can."
