Fans have 'worked out' the reason behind Drake's viral drone video.
A video of the rapper has been doing the rounds online in recent days, and people have raised questions about it.
In the drone footage, the piece of tech flies around Drake's Sydney penthouse in Australia and sees him walk onto his balcony and notice the drone staring back at him.

Looking confused and somewhat annoyed, Drake then goes back into the property to pick up a shoe, which appears to be a Yeezy slider, to throw at the drone — which he misses by a mile off.
Drake then looks up at the device before it quickly flies off.

One thing that a lot of people are commenting on is the 'One Dance' rapper's rather pathetic throw (sorry, Drake).

One person penned on TikTok: "What kind of throw was that. This can’t be real."
Someone else questioned: "Why did he throw like that?!"
"What a terrible throw," a different person pointed out.
But others suggested that the whole thing was 'bogus' and 'staged' — and they could be right.

At the start of the now-viral clip, eagle-eyed viewers will have spotted an open laptop on the table which seemed to be showing a gambling site.

More specifically, it's said that the drone footage was promo for Stake Casino, a betting site Drake has had affiliations with before.
Sharing their theories on Twitter, people seem pretty sure that the video was staged for promotional purposes.

Others also noted that there seems to be a drone operator visible in the glass window's reflection.
One person said: "This is a staged video af to promote Stake…. You can clearly see drone pilot sitting behind the corner."
A second penned of the clip: "This is an ad. Come on people."

"It was a Stake ad it’s not a real video," insisted another. "You noticed the video showed drakes tablet on the gambling app."
Someone even went as far as hailing Drake as a 'marketing genius'.
Different Twitter users were less convinced, though.
A social media user questioned: "A random drone flies into Drake’s hotel balcony, catching him completely off guard and the first thing y’all say is that it’s a Stake ad just because of the screen?"
Others suggested that the drone footage was genuine and the rapper just happened to be on Stake at the time, with the gambling site going on to use this to their advantage for promo purposes.
LADBible Group have approached Drake and Stake for comment.
