Nick Cannon does not want people calling him a 'deadbeat dad' as the father of many hit back at people slating his parenting.
If you know the TV host, actor, rapper and comedian for anything beyond his work in the entertainment industry it's probably for him having quite a lot of children.
He's had so many kids that it's hard for fans to keep track of all of them and Cannon himself has said that if he's got any regrets about the whole 'fathering 12 children' thing it's that he doesn't have more.

Cannon even claims that he's got 'super sperm' which can get a woman pregnant even if they're using birth control, though his 'why wear condoms' quote from a 2017 interview might have something to do with that.
He's become so known for it that he managed to hoax people with claims that he was launching a new reality show where the winner would get to have his next baby.
When he's fathered a dozen children, five of them within the last 12 months, at some point you just shrug your shoulders and go 'sure, that's plausible'.

Speaking to the Los Angeles Times, Cannon said he fathered so many children because he was a people pleaser and many of his partners wanted to have children at around the same time.
He said he 'just wanted to give them what they desired' and that he could handle the demands of raising many children, though he's not been a fan of some of the comments thrown his way.
"I’ve been villainized. I hear all the time: 'You can’t be present for all those children.' So therefore I get this deadbeat-dad title," Cannon said.
He said he kept separate calendars so he could keep all of his children in his life, though Cannon admitted that he did feel guilty about not spending enough time with each of them.

However, he was trying to focus on the quality of time spent with each of his kids instead of the quantity.
He said: "It’s not about what I do for you or what I say to you, it’s about how you feel when I’m with you. If you feel loved when you see your dad, that’s what’s gonna resonate."
Cannon also picked out a claim that he has to pay $3 million in child support a year and claimed that it was actually much higher, saying that to maintain his lifestyle he'd 'have to generate at least $100 million a year'.

Fortunately for him he is making that sort of money what with his multitude of hosting gigs, his record label and apparently his second romance novel which he says is an 'urban Fifty Shades of Grey'.
We're sure it'll be a riveting read.
