When you're an internationally famous actor from a humungous TV show the chances of fans stopping you and asking for a selfie are pretty high.
That interaction will also likely be very similar day-in, day-out if you have a particularly memorable moment in the programme.
But you don't have to tell this to Pedro Pascal as he knows this issue very well.

Unfortunately for him, his time on Game of Thrones came to a grisly end when he went up against The Mountain and had his skull savagely crushed by his opponent pushing his thumbs into Pedro's eyes.
It wasn't pretty.
Fans went wild for the moment and it appears they tried to recreate it every time they saw him in the street.

Pascal told The Hollywood Reporter that it became so bad that he picked up an infection.
"I remember, earlier on, because of Game of Thrones and the way my character died… people were super into taking selfies with their thumbs in my eyes," he said.
"And at first, I was so earnest and happy about the success of the character in the show, I'd let them!
"And then I remember getting a bit of an eye infection."

If this isn't an advert for fans to keep their distance and be respectful when they see celebrities in the wild then I don't know what is.
His Game of Thrones co-star Emilia Clarke actually found the show's popularity super overwhelming when it came to meeting fans.
While loads of interactions were fine, she was shocked at how people would shove a phone in her face and ask her for a selfie.

She recalled one harrowing incident that saw her ban fans from selfies with her.
“I was walking through an airport and I started having a panic attack brought on by complete exhaustion," she said during an appearance on Jessie Ware’s Table Manners podcast.
"I was on my own, I was on the phone to my mum saying, 'I feel like I can’t breathe, I don’t know what’s going on'.
"I’m there and the tears are coming out.

"I’m crying and crying, this guy’s like, 'Can I get a selfie?' And I was like, 'I can’t breathe, I’m really sorry. Just having a minute'.
"It was after a few moments like that where I was like, 'I don’t know how to do this'."
People, please, have some decency when you see your favourite star.
