Phoebe Bridgers has slammed Johnny Depp fans for their 'disgusting treatment' of Amber Heard amid the former couple's bitter divorce.
The singer, 28, was specifically referring to the couple's defamation trial this summer, which saw Depp sue heard over a 2018 op-ed for the Washington Post that allegedly implied he was an abuser.
Bridgers told Teen Vogue that she found it 'upsetting' to see the cyberbullying Heard was subject to as a result, which saw hashtags like #AmberHeardIsAnAbuser and #AmberHeardIsALiar trend on social media.

The abuse was so bad that one study said it was 'one of the worst cases of cyberbullying and cyberstalking by a group of Twitter accounts' ever.
She continued: "I think that there's been this falsehood - and I think queer people are included in this - of having to be the perfect victim, or the perfect survivor, or the perfect representation for your marginalised community.
"If Amber Heard exhibited any neurotic behaviour, it was held against her. Then Johnny Depp, out of his mouth, admitted some of the most violent, crazy s*** in court, and it's somehow like, people aren't surprised?"
Bridgers ultimately described the reaction to the televised trial, which saw Depp emerge victorious despite losing a similar case in the UK, as a 'fandom war'.

"That whole situation was so upsetting to me. Laughing at someone crying in court? It was disgusting," she said.
Following the six-week trial in Virginia, Heard was found guilty of defamation and ordered to pay her ex-husband $10 million in compensatory damages and $5 million in punitive damages.
However, the latter charge was reduced to a maximum of $350,000.

Depp was found guilty of one of Heard's counterclaims after his lawyer described the allegations of domestic abuse as a 'hoax' and was ordered to pay Heard $2 million in damages.
Heard addressed the cyberbullying and online side-taking herself and said: "Even if you think that I'm lying, you still couldn't look me in the eye and tell me that you think on social media there's been a fair representation."
The report into the fan treatment of heard online noted that those who spoke out in defence of her were 'attacked relentlessly' with often 'vulgar and threatening language'.
