Popular Twitch streamer Pokimane hopped onto TikTok recently where she revealed she used to have a crush on another streamer before they called her 'cringe'.
The video she posted was only a few seconds long and was just a quick bit of footage of her accompanied by the text: "To the streamer I had a crush on at 18 who called me cringe so I built a following 100x bigger than his."
Captioning the post 'u can't guess who it is so please don't try lol', Pokimane's many fans decided to promptly ignore that and kick of a massive guessing game as to who this mystery crush might have been.

All sorts of names were suggested and shot down with a 'no lol' from Pokimane before she said she was 'gonna stop replying' and it wasn't any of the names people had guessed.
Urging her fans 'don't believe some rando comment ok lol' she dipped from the conversation, leaving people none the wiser as to who the streamer who called her 'cringe' was.
Pokimane, real name Imane Anys, seems to have followed the maxim that success is the best revenge upon this mystery man who called her cringe when she was 18.

As far as insults go 'cringe' is by no means the worst one but it's still a pretty mean thing to say, and getting 'a following 100x bigger than his' seems like a good way to move on from an old crush.
To paraphrase, the best way to get over someone is to get one over on them, and considering how successful Pokimane is on Twitch she seems to be doing just fine.
So there you go, when she was 18 Pokimane used to have a crush on another streamer but they called her cringe and now her gargantuan fame on Twitch has blown whatever following he has out of the water.

The streamer keeps information on her dating life quiet, though earlier this year she did step in to call out a man who was pretending to be in a relationship with her in an attempt to gain the trust of other women.
She said she'd never even met the man, who had been sharing faked screenshots of conversations, after a number of women reached out to ask what was going on.
Pokimane also called to 'stop sexualising people without their consent' after an incident where a streamer was caught watching pornographic deepfakes of other streamers.
