A body language expert has weighed in on the clip of Saoirse Ronan stunning a panel of Hollywood actors, which has been doing the rounds on social media.
Ronan was on The Graham Norton Show with Paul Mescal, Eddie Redmayne and Denzel Washington on Sunday (October 27) for what was expected to be a lighthearted bit of celebrity fun.
But one joke seemed to rub the actress the wrong way and she decided to speak out about it.
Speaking about the preparation for his latest role in the TV series, The Day of the Jackal, Redmayne explained to the rest of the couch how he was taught how to use his cell phone as a weapon.

He noted, that rather than whipping it out to dial 999, he was shown how to use the physical phone to do some damage by whacking it against someone's throat.
Mescal then joked: "Who's actually going to think about that though? If someone attacked me I'm not going to go, 'Phone'."
The crowd seemed to enjoy the banter between the guests with host Norton even joining in with his own jokes, miming looking for his phone in his pockets.

The Gladiator 2 star then continued: 'Mom, one sec.' BANG!"
After being able to seemingly get a word in, Ronan said: "That's what girls have to think about all the time. Am I right ladies?"
Her response was then followed by applause from the crowd.
And now, body language expert, Darren Stanton, spoke to UNILAD to break down how each actor was displaying their inner thoughts and emotions through movement.

Stanton said: “So straight away, while the joke is being made, Saoirse’s expression reads, ’You’re kidding me right?’, she tries to interject and make a comment, but after a few seconds, decides to wait for the right moment, which she did.
“Denzel Washington is cool as a cucumber here, not because he doesn’t think it’s a serious matter, but he’s not affected by it, he’s not part of the equation.
"Eddie’s jaw became very clenched and went red with embarrassment.

“He feels like he’s been party to a discussion he didn’t want to bring up, whereas Paul Mescal changes his posture, grips his hands together and doesn’t really know what to do with them."
Stanton further claims that Mescal is 'very embarrassed' and 'wished he'd not said anything', adding: "There’s some regret."
He continued to say that there's a 'wide shot' of Graham, however, there's 'no real way of reading him'.
"After she tries to interject in the comment, she waits a few seconds, waits for Eddie to speak, and then cuts him off. She does what we call a chin thrust, which is a dominance gesture." he said.

"She does that in between she gives the look to Paul, and then as he speaks, that’s when she does this gesture and makes a comment.
"Saoirse is most definitely the most powerful person in terms of self-confidence there.”
