Selena Gomez's kidney donor Francia Raisa has reacted after the former Disney Channel star said Taylor Swift was her 'only friend in the industry'.
Gomez, 30, opened up about her experiences with being in the spotlight, being diagnosed with bipolar disorder and living with lupus alongside the release of her new Apple TV+ documentary, My Mind and Me.

The singer revealed her health issues in 2015, two years before she underwent a kidney transplant with an organ donated by her friend, Raisa, who is best known for her role in the 2006 film Bring It On: All or Nothing.
The pair met in 2007 during a visit to a children’s hospital, and in 2021, Gomez thanked Raisa for 'blessing' her with her kidney, adding: "I am forever grateful to you."
However, in her new interview with Rolling Stone, Gomez explained that she struggled to make friends with people in the entertainment industry, saying: “I never fit in with a cool group of girls that were celebrities."

She continued: "My only friend in the industry really is Taylor [Swift], so I remember feeling like I didn’t belong."
Gomez's comment was shared on Instagram by E! News alongside a picture of Gomez and Swift, after which screenshots began to emerge indicating Raisa had responded with a comment on the post.
Her comment appears to have since been deleted, but images shared online indicate she replied: "Interesting."
A quick search of Raisa's Instagram account has also revealed that she no longer follows Gomez on the platform, though it's unclear exactly when she made the move.

Gomez and Raisa appeared to still be going strong in their friendship earlier this year, when they teamed up for a TikTok challenge, which saw them coming up with endings to the statement, "He's a 10, but..."
At one point, Gomez quipped: “He's a 10, but he hates your best friend.”
Raisa responded: “I hate her too sometimes," causing the pair to laugh.

"Honestly, fair enough,” Gomez responded.
Raisa is also said to have been in attendance at Gomez's 30th birthday party in July alongside stars such as Miley Cyrus, Camila Cabello, Billie EIlish and Olivia Rodrigo.
Raisa's response to Gomez's comments about her friends has sparked a mixed reaction among fans of the pair, with some arguing that Gomez was 'ungrateful' to Raisa after her donation.

Others have argued that Raisa is not in the music industry, and therefore wouldn't have been included in Gomez's comments regardless.
UNILAD has reached out to representatives for Raisa for comment.
