Sharon and Ozzy Osbourne celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary yesterday (5 July), taking to Instagram in a heartfelt post to mark the occasion.
Sharon posted a recent photo of herself and her 'soulmate' rockstar husband posing in front of a fireplace holding hands, while Ozzy opted for a throwback snap of them on their wedding day.
Sharon was just 18 when she first met Ozzy, who was then married to Thelma Riley – his first wife – back in 1970.
In 1979, Ozzy was fired from Black Sabbath by the band’s manager Don Arden, who was also Sharon’s dad. Sharon started managing Ozzy herself and their relationship soon became romantic.

The pair tied the knot in Hawaii in 1982 and welcomed children Aimee, Kelly and Jack within the first three years of their marriage.
However, Sharon and Ozzy’s marriage was rocked by the latter’s substance abuse issues and in 1989 Ozzy was arrested for attempted murder after attacking Sharon.
Speaking about the incident during 2020’s Biography: Nine Lives of Ozzy Osbourne documentary, Sharon said: “I had no idea who was sat across from me on the sofa but it wasn’t my husband.
“He goes to a stage where he gets that look in his eyes, the shutters were down and I just couldn’t get through to him."

She added: "And he just said, 'We’ve come to a decision that you’ve got to die.' He was calm — very calm — then suddenly he lunged across at me and just dived on me and started to choke me."
Police arrived at Sharon and Ozzy’s home after she hit a panic button and Ozzy ended up spending six months in medical detention.
Sharon continued: "Thank God the judge put him in treatment for six months. I had time to really think about what he should do.

"I told him, 'I don’t want the money ... but if you do this again, either I am going to kill you or you are going to kill me. And do you want that for the kids?'"
The Osbourne’s marriage was shaken once again in 2016 when Ozzy hit the headlines for having an affair with a hairstylist.
Ozzy admitted he was battling sex addiction and eventually the pair were able to reconcile, even renewing their wedding vows in Las Vegas in 2017.
Fans were delighted to see the pair reach such an important milestone, with one person writing beneath Ozzy's post: "Happy Anniversary to my favourite rock'n'roll couple of all time."

Another added: "The queen and king," while a third quipped: "I have my adoption papers ready."
Other comments included: "Congratulations on a happy anniversary", "iconic" and "happy anniversary legends!"
