Simon Pegg has revealed what he talks to Tom Cruise about as he won't ask about him about his 'private beliefs'.
While Pegg and Cruise have been Mission: Impossible co-stars and friends for years now after first meeting during J.J. Abrams’ third instalment, which hit the silver screen back in 2006, it's clear there are some conversation topics that are seemingly off-limits.
The British actor did, however, open up about what he and the Top Gun star do discuss whenever they're together.

Speaking on BBC Sounds' Desert Island Discs radio show over the weekend (14 May), Pegg opened up about his friendship with Cruise and what the pair chat about.
The Shaun of the Dead star revealed there was one particular subject matter that the dynamic duo never touch upon.
Namely, that he doesn't speak to Cruise - who is a member of the Church of Scientology - about his 'private beliefs'.

When asked by host Lauren Laverne if Cruise's 'private life and beliefs' ever made things 'tricky in developing a friendship', Pegg replied: "I don't ask him about stuff like like because I feel that would be me abusing my privileged access that I get to him."
OK - so if they're not chatting about each others' 'private beliefs' then what do they settle on to have a natter over.
"We joke about it," Pegg began. "I mean, I always make fun of him for it, you know, about the things that he can access."
Talking about a recent anecdote when they were both 'filming in South Africa', Pegg recalled that Cruise 'decided he wanted to swim with sharks'.

The actor continued: "He flew us in a helicopter to this seaside part of South Africa and we had this bespoke trip out and dived with sharks and stuff like that.
"At the end of the day we said, 'That was a real Tom Cruise kind of day.' He kind of appreciates the ridiculousness of it sometimes."
Pegg went on to say: "My relationship with him is just very simple and amiable. We're friends."

Pegg disclosed that his friendship with Cruise has 'always been a very easy relationship'.
"I think you realize, when you meet the person rather than the thicket of mythology that’s built up around them, it’s a different experience," he explained.
"I mean, he loves [the fame] and he really relishes it, it’s all he knows. It energizes him and spurs him on."
Pegg admitted that, unlike his A-lister co-star, he didn't think he 'would appreciate that particularly'.

"I’d find that very stressful and overwhelming and it would make me want to retreat. I’m happy where I am," the British actor added.
Pegg first entered the Mission Impossible in 2006 where he played British technician Benji Dunn in Mission: Impossible III.
The actor has since appeared in every Mission: Impossible movie since and is currently filming the eighth instalment, Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning Part One, alongside Cruise.
The upcoming film marks the pair's fifth Mission: Impossible movie together and is set to hit theaters later this year (12 July).
