It may have launched him as a major Hollywood heartthrob, but Taylor Lautner has some regrets about Twilight.
Lautner starred in the vampire franchise over a decade ago and was just seventeen years old when the first film wrapped.

At the time, the actor revealed he had a major hang-up about the fan girl-inducing film series.
He isn’t the only star who felt awkward about their appearance in the movies.
In fact, Robert Pattinson brutally trashed the franchise and even appeared unenthusiastic during press tours – much to Twilight fans' amusement.

Despite playing the leading role of Edward Cullen in the Stephenie Meyer adaptations, Pattinson told Vanity Fair: "There's nothing you can do about it…That's the way it is. But it is weird being part of that, kind of representing something you don't particularly like." (ouch!)
It wouldn't stop the actor from appearing in another franchise, with him playing the titular character in The Batman alongside Zoë Kravitz.
He even admitted that his feelings towards Twilight had mellowed after the intense fan attention had died down.
"It's lovely now that the mania is not so intense,” he confessed to USA Today. “People come up [to me] and just have very fond memories of it. It's a really sweet thing. Now the intensity has died down and it's just very warm memories."

While his co-star may be feeling more comfortable about the films, it’s unclear whether Lautner still has regrets over the supernatural films.
Back in 2009, he revealed that he’d been anxious about appearing topless in the Twilight franchise, with the actor called to do so many times as he transformed from teen Jacob Black into a werewolf.
"I worked hard to get in shape for this role," he told Showbiz Spy in a brief interview and even confessed he feared being typecast after playing the character.

While the actor is undoubtedly more than his physical appearance, the scenes bothered him so much that he said in an ideal world he'd never take off his shirt in a movie again.
"My motivation was the movie and the fans, but I don't want to become known as just a body,” he admitted.
“If I had to choose, I would never take my shirt off again in a movie, but I guess that's not very realistic.
"I certainly won't be asking to do it, though."

Though Lautner feels awkward about the shirtless scenes, we hope the Cuckoo actor has warmer feelings for the films as time has passed.
