It’s no secret that The Rock likes to keep himself in tip-top shape - being a former pro wrestler, and all.
But it turns out that Dwayne Johnson is so dedicated to the gains that he actually brings his own food to eat at restaurants. Check out the video below:
Speaking to SiriusXM’s Jim Norton and Sam Roberts Show, Stephen Merchant who directed Johnson in the 2019 movie Fighting With My Family, opened up about the Rock’s interesting food habits.

He said to the presenters: “I think someone told me, maybe he told me, that when he goes for dinner with friends he has to take his food to the restaurant and have them heat it up because it’s such a structured diet he has to have.”
Agreeing that the Rock’s restaurant ritual is somewhat a bizarre behaviour, host Jim Norton added: “That’s how you know you’re The Rock, when you walk into a restaurant, like ‘could you heat up this s*** I brought?’ Like, ‘yeah, absolutely'.”
But The Rock’s strict eating plan doesn’t stop there - he actually organises the exact time he should consume said pre-planned meals… To the minute.

Merchant continued: “I do remember having a meeting with him just in Texas just before WrestleMania and we were having a meeting about the movie and his alarm would go off at like 3:17 p.m. and he would go to the fridge and there would be turkey and rice with ‘3:17 p.m'. written on it and he would microwave it.”
“It was so regimented,” Merchant noted.
But it’s no wonder that he’s so strict with his food plan, really. I mean, have you seen his workouts?
The Rock certainly doesn’t look like he skips leg day judging by the size of the weight he lifted in one video he shared to Instagram.

Looking like he is lifting a weight the size of a car, the Fast and Furious star really lives up to the strength signalled in his name.
In his post, he wrote: “ Bad **s song to train legs to. Smashed leg training this morning and finished with this reloaded power squat 4×25.
“Give it a shot next leg day.”

He continued on with some tips for his interested followers, adding: “Raise the foot platform to target certain areas of the quads and glutes. These final 100 reps at the end of your leg training are brutal, but extremely productive.
“Put yourself thru hell when you train, but especially on leg day. Legs separate the men from the boys. Don’t skip it.”
