McDermott and Spelling, 50, share five children together: Liam, 16, Stella, 15, Hattie, 11, Finn, 10 and Beau, six.
From as far back as March 2021, McDermott and the Beverly Hills, 90210 star brushed off rumors of a split after she was spotting out without her wedding ring.
Three months later, Spelling confessed during a radio interview that she and her now estranged husband had been sleeping in separate rooms.
“Right now, my kids and dogs sleep in my bed,” she shared with friend Jeff Lewis on his SiriusXM radio show in June 2021. However, she answered ‘no’ when the host asked if there were ‘problems at home’.

Spelling shared that McDermott sleeps in ‘a room’ but not in a guest room, which seemingly shocked Lewis.
She added that the former Chopped Canada host had left for ‘another country’ for six months to film a project as well.
McDermott also downplayed the split rumors himself in September 2021.

“It’s just weird that people need to know,” he said during an episode of the Feminine Warrior podcast.
“'What’s going on with Tori and Dean? She’s not wearing her ring’. Why do you need to know that? How is that going to affect your day?”
In response to the speculation about a split, he hit back: “I don’t reply anymore. It’s just like, 'OK, if that’s what you want to think, then think it'.”
