Vanessa Hudgens has insisted that she has an 'unusual gift' and has made contact with ghosts on several occasions in her life.
The High School Musical star made the claim during a recent appearance on The Kelly Clarkson Show, recounting her first meeting with the paranormal when she was just eight-years-old.
While the actor was there to promote her Fabletics line, she delved into her 'unusual gift' and explained how one of her first experiences involved one of her toys becoming sentient.

“I remember getting ready for school when I was 8 years old, and there was, like, you know those ducks that you pull [the string]? It’s a toy," she said. "There was one of those on the dining room table, and I started walking, and it just started going alongside me.
"I've accepted the fact that I can see things and hear [paranormal] things. The unknown is scary. But I recently was like, ‘No, this is a gift and something that I have the ability to do, so I’m going to lean into it."
And this isn't the first time the child star has spoken about her ghostly experiences.

Back in 2011, she told People Magazine that a spirit had visited her while she was shooting a movie. “North Wilmington [South Carolina] is one of the oldest, most haunted places in North America,” she said at the time, claiming to have chased down a ghost that she spotted while there.
“I was chasing around my ghost for, like, 10 minutes solid, and then it got way too freaky, and I just left,” she went on.
“I feel like [the ghost] might have lost a husband at war and she’s waiting for her man to come back to her...It was definitely a female spirit. I could tell."

Hudgens has recently embarked on her first ghost hunting mission, linking up with close friend GG Agree in doing so.
The pair's 'paranormal investigation' saw them use a piece of apparatus known in the industry as a 'spirit box', which analyses 'radio frequencies really quickly' - according to the 33-year-old.
Since appearing in High School Musical 14 years ago, Hudgens has carved out a successful career in Hollywood. Most recently, she starred alongside Andrew Garfield in the Oscar nominated Tick Tick Boom!.
The actor also revealed she had a new man in her life, going on to discuss how her relationship with baseball player Cole Tucker is 'the best one' and 'healthy'.
