Rihanna's Super Bowl performance had many viewers thinking back to another performance - but one for which the 'Disturbia' singer was entirely absent.
Rihanna's halftime show was her first performance in five years and as far as comebacks go, it certainly didn't disappoint.

The 34-year-old singer performed her greatest hits such as 'Work', 'Pour It Up' and 'Only Girl (In The World)', while also taking time to show off her baby bump.
Rihanna's comeback delighted her fans, who have been eagerly anticipating her return to music since the release of her album, Anti, in 2016.
However, according to fans the iconic performance was missing one thing - the presence of Tom Holland.
Several viewers took to Twitter to speculate on what would have happened if Holland had made an appearance alongside Rihanna.

This was in reference to Holland's performance on Comedy Central's Lip Sync Battle in 2017, where the actor blew audiences away with his moves.
Starting off his performance with a tribute to Gene Kelly in 'Singin' In The Rain', Holland took it to another level as he transformed himself into Rihanna to sing her hit song 'Umbrella'.
Donning a wig and short dress, Holland recreated Rihanna's iconic choreography to a hysterical audience - as Spiderman co-star and girlfriend Zendaya watched on in the wings.

This performance - which boasts 138 million views on YouTube - has clearly made an impact with fans, who couldn't help but think of it during Rihanna's set on Sunday night (12 February).
One fan tweeted: "Rihanna should bring Tom Holland out to perform Umbrella, send tweet, mute replies."
While another wrote: "If Rihanna brings Tom Holland on stage to perform Umbrella during halftime, I swear I'll never complain again."
It appears that Zendaya got word of the chatter and took to her Instagram to give a nod to the hype.

Posting a photo of Rihanna at the Super Bowl, the actress then shared a screenshot of her reaction to Holland's performance.
In the snap, Zendaya, dressed as Bruno Mars, can be seen looking shocked with her hands covering her mouth.

The relationship status of Holland and Zendaya has been the source of speculation for years after the two starred as love interests in the Spiderman franchise.
It was only in November 2021 that Holland confirmed that the two were dating.
