A food delivery driver has criticised two customers who joked that they were going to pull a gun on him as he attempted to drop off their order.

Getting food delivered is definitely an enjoyable experience, so much so that we often find ourselves peeking out of the window or constantly refreshing the app for updates on when it might arrive. Don't lie, we've all done it.

So it's not surprising that a deliver driver who uses the handle 'dominos_boy' on TikTok was left stunned when he heard two customers talking about getting a gun when he knocked on their door. Hear his reaction below:

In his clip, shared on New Year's Eve, the delivery driver recalled what happened after making it back to the safety of his car.

He explained that he works for Domino's Pizza, and that the delivery started off as normal with him knocking on the door.

Assuming he hadn't got the wrong address, the people inside would have been well aware that someone was due to arrive at their house, because they literally contacted them and asked them to do so.

Naturally, then, the last thing the delivery driver would have expected to hear is a man inside being surprised at the prospect of someone knocking, and instructing a woman inside to 'get the gun'.

The TikToker, who also has a podcast, recalled how the man told him to 'keep walking buddy' - but the delivery driver had a job to do.

"Pizza delivery!," he called out, prompting the man inside to open the garage door.

The driver was obviously terrified for his life at this point, and after overhearing the conversation inside he raised one hand - the other still holding the pizza box - as he came face to face with the man.

He reiterated again that he was just delivering pizza, only to have the couple 'laugh in [his] face', saying: "Gotcha!"

"There could not be a joke less funny than that," the TikToker said in his video. "That's the least funny joke that's ever been told. Don't do that!"

He reiterated his point in a caption alongside the video, writing: "DO NOT DO THIS! I CAN NOT STRESS THAT ENOUGH."

The driver quickly received a lot of support from viewers who were stunned to hear about the 'joke' the customers had pulled, with one responding: "bro you're better than me [because] i would've thrown the damn pizza at them and been like gotcha."

Another commented: "As a former pizza restaurant manager, I would have banned them from ordering. That's not a joke. Your safety isn't a joke."

It's unclear exactly how the interaction with the customers ended, but I can only hope that involved a big, big tip for the driver.
