An Amazon worker says he'd been fired from the company after posting a controversial video about the job.
TikToker @thatamazonguyy posted a clip last month where he urged people not to purchase certain items from the global online retailer.
"I don’t know who needs to hear this. But stop buying water at Amazon," he said in the now viral clip. "A couple of days ago, I decided to pick up an extra shift and they put me to pick.

"Since I’m a trainer, most of you should know trainers don’t really do much, we sit on our ass all day. I already knew it was gonna be a tough day.”
He continued: “Tell me why every other item I picked was either Fiji water or f*cking dog food. Are you telling me you’re out of water, you go on Amazon and you wait two to three business days to get your [fricking] water, bro?
"What are you drinking in the meantime?”

The clip received a mixed response on TikTok. While some knew it was done as a joke, others pointed out that some people who are disabled might rely on retailers like Amazon to deliver heavy items as they can't go to the store and do it themselves.
Well, a few weeks on from posting the video, @thatamazonguyy says he's been fired.
"Hi guys, I have some bad news. Uh, Amazon done fired my dumbass. Seven long years down the drain just like that," he began in a new video posted last week.

"Long story short, I made a video about four weeks ago where I told people to stop buying heavy items from Amazon because, as an Amazon worker, I’m tired of lifting heavy items."
The guy went on to say that many people took the video as he intended - as a joke. But apologized to those who it may have offended.
He went on: "If you were offended by that video, I am sorry. I never meant to offend anyone or discriminate against anyone. I just wanted to make a funny video.
"I'm not just saying that. I already lost my job and am ineligible for rehire, so please forgive me."

People have since expressed their condolences that he lost his job as a result of the other video, with some labelling Amazon as 'petty' for letting him go.
Fellow Amazon employees in particular said they'd miss his entertaining content about working for the company, but he assured them that he will 'still bring [them] content'.
Amazon has been contacted for comment but UNILAD hasn't received a reply at this time.
