Working for DoorDash is no easy job, even if it was just making the deliveries for long hours with no complications.
Unfortunately, as with any job, there are always complications, and with DoorDash it can sometimes happen that people claim that their food has not been delivered.
In fairness, sometimes mistakes do get made, or people have an accident, or deliveries get sent to the wrong place.

Sometimes however, people might claim that their delivery has not arrived when in fact, it very much has.
And one DoorDash driver has posted a video on TikTok showing how they dealt with someone who had 'lied' about not receiving their order.
The video shows the driver walking up to a door, where there are a number of bags sitting right in front of it.
They explain that the person in the flat has claimed that they have not received their order, even though it's very clearly sitting in the corridor outside.

The driver knocks on the door and confronts the customer about their claim.
She explains that she has already been given a 'violation' on the app, which could mean that she gets blocked from if it happens too many times.
The customer said that they didn't know that the food had been delivered, and claimed that they had been asleep.

In response the driver explained that they already had the violation, but that if the customer was asked again by DoorDash they needed to tell the the company that the order had been delivered.
People had a lot of thoughts on the video, and took to the comments to share their opinions.
One person questioned why the customer hadn't checked the doorstep before claiming that the food hadn't arrived, writing: "I don’t understand.. why not check your door before making a report… was it not there? I don't get it."

Another said that better verification would help, commenting: "They need a better way of confirming these disputes doordash & instacart I saw a girl lose her instacart job 2 weeks ago."
A third pointed out that a similar thing had happened to them where they wren't aware that their order had arrived.
They posted: "This has happened to me, they didn't even knock or call or even let me know its outside on the floor, just said its delivered, at least knock the door!"
One person even suggested that customers should also get 'violations', for example for placing orders and then abandoning them, or falsely claiming that they've arrived.
