A Tesla Cybertruck owner was left shocked by the results after racing a non-electric car in the middle of the desert.
While the Tesla vehicle is an absolute tank of a weapon, it's certainly a nippy piece of kit too.
As such, it makes the much sought-after car particularly good for drag races and where best to test out those incredible capabilities than in the middle of the desert.

A drag race between the Cybertruck and the Ford Raptor R was uploaded to the SterlingsWildWest YouTube channel, in what was a battle of the pickup trucks.
I mean, we're not taking about a Ferrari or a Lamborghini here, but this is still some intense and most importantly, entertaining, racing.
Aside from the pickup truck similarity, however, the Cybertruck and the Raptor R have very little in common.

Cybertruck is obviously an electric vehicle that boast an impressive 845 horsepower, while Ford Raptor R uses a V8 engine to put out 720 horsepower.
So based on that, you'd think the Cybertruck would smoke the Ford car in a drag race, and you certainly wouldn't be mistaken.
In the quarter-mile race, the Cybertruck sprinted off the line and left the Ford Raptor for dust. Literally, amid there desert conditions.
A 0-60 time of 2.6 seconds compared to the Raptor R's 3.7 seconds certainly would have helped with that, but that didn't mean everyone involved wasn't blown away with the results.

Many have flocked to the comments section of the YouTube video to provide their reaction to the dominating Cybertruck win.
"That wasn't an off road duel. Do a real race, not a drag race. Take it fast over rough stuff," one person said.
A second commented: "Awesome! Love both trucks but I'm still taking the Raptor R over the Cybertruck. I just want everybody to hear the beast roar before they see it."

A third remarked: "Almost without fail... these comparison videos pit someone driving an entirely new vehicle they are unfamiliar with against someone in their daily driver. Also, they almost always seem to be the base model, much slower and less powerful than the Cyberbeast, against vehicles at the top of their class."
And a fourth quipped: "I wish there was actual course type testing. This was just a drag race in dirt. Yeah still would expect the CT to win that."
