An Australian man has said he is now banned from Uber and Uber Eats after two years of serious spending.
Now it is important to note it is a self-ban, and Uber hasn’t penalized him for spending money - that would hardly be a smart business strategy.
But when you find out just how much he spent with the company in two years, you’ll understand why he is cutting back.

Influencer Jack Cooper told his followers on TikTok (Jackcoopxr) earlier this month he was going to be shifting away from using the popular and convenient Uber apps, all because he saw how much he was spending.
In a video that has gone viral, with over 210,000 views, he told his fans he couldn’t believe how much he was splashing out.
“I have just seen something so unbelievably disgusting that I actually don’t know what to say,” he started by saying.

He then decided to search through his bank statements to find out what he has spent the most money on over the last two years.
After realizing that it was Uber and Uber Eats, he dared his viewers to guess just how much he spent.
“If you have said $32,000, you would be correct.”
Yup, AUD $32,000 (about USD $20,758), spent in two years. Jeez, that is a lot to spend on food and travel.

He continued: “That is so unbelievably disgusting, that is literally a house deposit.
“I am actually serious, I am making this video so I hold myself accountable for this because I am going on a ban. I am banning myself from Uber and I am literally deleting the apps off my phone.
“I actually feel sick right now. Do you understand what I could do with $32,000?
“This is so cooked, I am genuinely thinking about booking myself into seeing a therapist or something because that is not normal.

“That is actually insane. You all need to keep me accountable for this guys, I am going to start getting the bus and the train and stuff.
“I am banned from Ubers, it is just too much, it is way too much.”
His followers admitted to being equally surprised at just how much he had spent, with one person working out that this averages out to around 1.6 Uber orders a day.

Others simply joked that they couldn’t spend that much with the company if they tried.
It might be worth giving up all transport that costs money.
Some good old walking or cycling might save some change here and there.
