What’s better than good news? Good animal news. Obviously.
From a truck driver saving a drowning chimp to the birth of a sweet, super-rare giraffe, you’ve got to love it.
And we all love some good boy content. So, level that up with a young boy saving his four-legged best friend.
Yep, in what could have been an absolute tragedy came a really heartwarming story of an unsuspecting hero.

In the viral footage, 11-year-old Thiago Magalhães strolls into an elevator with his little dog Milú beside him on Wednesday 23 August.
Confident his friend is following him in, Thiago doesn't notice the pup's leash trailing behind her as she strolls freely in.
However, as he presses the elevator button and the doors close, the CCTV footage shows that the leash is trapped between the doors.
Soon, the leash pulls Milú off her feet.

But almost instantly, practically in sync, Thiago reacts too.
Like a real hero, the child grabs the leash, raising up into the air too.
Soon, Milú is freed and falls to the floor.

They’re quickly up on all fours and strolling around the elevator as the little legend looks in disbelief at what has just happened and attempts to retrieve the harness.
Thiago told Brazilian outlet G1: "I don’t know where I got the courage from, I went on impulse."
His dad Rodrigo Magalhães added: "I was very scared by what happened and realized that the situation was very serious and that it could have been fatal for both the dog and my son."
Social media users were in awe of Thiago's heroics.

Another pointed out: “He probably didn’t think it would be a problem or that the leash would get stuck, a careless mistake but understandable for a child.”
A third added: “Poor kid, stuff of nightmares to happen to your dog… Glad they were both OK.”
