A woman has detailed the extremely petty response she received from her neighbor after she accidentally mowed part of their lawn.

It's in the best interests of everyone to have a somewhat good relationship with the neighbors.

I mean, you don't need to invite them round for dinner every week, but at least being civil to one another is preferable.

However, we've heard so many nightmare neighbor stories over the years, including some very petty attempts at revenge.

One of them was documented on Reddit earlier this year as a homeowner accidentally stared a feud after mowing some of her neighbor's lawn.

Reddit user PogoChop took to the social media platform to disclose the response she received from the man next door after she misjudged where her garden finished and his dwellings began.

The anonymous homeowner shared a picture of the damage done on Reddit, and to be honest, it's quite difficult to see the boundaries.

So, after she accidentally mowed over the man's lawn, he embarked on a petty act of revenge.

It's fair to say the woman will not be going over the lawn again as he made it pretty clear where the line starts.

"[My] neighbour [is] not happy that we mowed one row into his lawn, so he decided to spray grass killer to make a point," the Redditor explained.

In the snap, there is evidentially an area that is discolored, indicating the boundary between the two gardens.

In fact, the response has left the woman considering her options, and she's even suggested she and her partner may move because of the ordeal.

"We're looking to sell the house soon, so not a good look for potential buyers," she said.

Thousands have flocked to the comments section of the Reddit post to give their thoughts.

"I'll even invite OP over a barbecue. How and why can people be so petty? Life is short, you're living it out just as your neighbor does, let us be humans not territorial animals," one person penned.

"Why would someone be upset about that? Like if my neighbor wants to mow my lawn he is more than welcome!! People are stupid," a second added.

While a third remarked: "Just think, that person has so little going on in their life that this is what they chose to invest time and energy into. Some people are sad individuals."
