An optical illusion from 2016 has once again got people baffled on the internet.
There's no shortage of eye puzzles and images out here on the internet, but this one had people kicking themselves when they finally managed to figure it out.
As much as you want to look away, you somehow can't help but keep staring at the seemingly ordinary image in front of you.

Once it has you in its grip, that's it, you have to see it through to the end.
That's certainly the case with this perfectly normal photo of a brick wall.
And that's all there is here, nothing else, honest.

The image was posted on Facebook, with the poster challenging people to find what was unusual about the image.
People were left perplexed by the photo on social media.

In it, you can see a brick wall with some erosion between the bricks which has led to quite large cracks between each one.
Surely, there couldn't be anything else in the picture, just those bricks?
Well, once you see what's there, you can't un-see it.
People took to the comments to express their frustration.

One commented: "Is it the rock thingy? Is it a turtle head or something ? I can't see anything else."
Close, but no cigar.
Another replied: "That brick wall illusion thing actually ruined my life."

It's not the only such brain-teasing puzzle to have driven the internet insane over the years.
Others included one where a crowd of snowmen concealed a secret.
There are also images which can appear to be two things at the same time.
One famous example of this is a picture which can be both a young woman and an old woman depending on how you look at the image.
Another sees the owner of a horse cleverly concealed within the body of the horse itself.
Some examples even use moving images, such as one of a person with their foot extended rotating.
