It's not uncommon to get free samples with an online order but this woman definitely wasn't expecting what she received.
Whether it's a perfume sample or a tiny pot of moisturizer, typically the small extras you might get with an order are a welcome addition - but this online shopper's was certainly not.
TikToker Anna Marie, who goes by @anna_200.1 on the video sharing platform, posted a video last week where she shared her very unusual experience.
"So I just received a package from Shein that contained a vile of human blood from a testing company," she claimed.

"It had no name, no doctor's office, no date. The lady from the testing company said they're trying to track it down; she said it was completely mishandled.
"They don't even ship to residents, they only ship blood back and forth between doctors."
Making things even weirder, her parcel also allegedly contained a can of Goya beans.
Going on to label the situation as 'totally odd', Anna Marie claimed she contacted the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and they assured her that they were looking into it because it's a 'major bio hazard'.

She also informed the local sheriff's department who allegedly came and collected the vile for further testing.
Anna Marie has since warned: "If you receive a Shein package, especially one that's in a FedEx, like if you've done express shipping, dump it out on a table and look at everything before you touch it and then sanitize your hands."
"Be extremely careful," she added.

Anna Marie's initial video has since gone viral and amassed over 10 million views on TikTok.
As people are now very invested in the situation, she's been providing updates as she's received them.
In a recent update shared yesterday (March 18), Anna Marie revealed that they've located the patient whose blood it was.

FedEx allegedly reached out to her and said it was able to find the patient via the QR code on the blood vile.
Elsewhere, Exact Sciences allegedly assured her the blood was part of a routine cancer screening and posed no disease risk.
Anna Marie has insisted that Shein has been nothing but 'helpful' with her enquiries into the matter but she accused FedEx of simply trying to 'cover their tracks'.
It appears to still remain unclear how and why the vile (and the random can of beans) ended up in Anna Marie's package.

A spokesperson Shein has since told UNILAD in a statement: "When we were made aware that a customer received a package that had been tampered with, we launched an immediate investigation.
"This indicated when the package completed our quality control process and left our facility it contained only the SHEIN items ordered. We will continue actively supporting the customer in her investigation into what occurred once her package left a SHEIN facility."
Elsewhere, a statement issued by FedEx to People read: "We sincerely apologize for this experience. We are committed to treating our customers’ shipments with the utmost care, and we are taking the appropriate steps to address this matter.”
UNILAD has also contacted FedEx for further comment.
