The world’s most pierced woman has over 11,000 studs and continues to get more piercings to hold onto the Guinness World Record.
Elaine Davidson, 53, earned her Guinness World Record for ‘most piercings in a lifetime (female)’ back in May 2004, having been pierced 4,225 times.
She also holds the record for ‘most piercings, single count (female)’ following a count in 2000 at which point she had 462 piercings, including 192 piercings on her facial area including ears, forehead, eye brows, chin and nose and 30 in her tongue alone.

But at a count in 2019, Elaine had increased her number of piercings to a staggering 11,003, with her website claiming she is ‘still getting more piercings to hold on to the record’.
Speaking about the response she receives for her unusual look, Elaine said: “People often just want to look at me or touch me – some even want to kiss me”
The piercings almost cover her entire body, with studs in her face, hands, pubic area and torso, and Elaine reckons all that metal probably weighs around 3kg.

Despite the extra weight all her jewellery adds, Elaine says she never removes her piercings, which must make for an interesting time at airport security, and says they’re comfortable to sleep in.
Elaine, who hails from Brazil but now lives in Edinburgh, appears to have a fairly high tolerance for pain, alongside her piercings, she can also walk on broken glass, sleep on a bed of nails and fire walk - oh and she’s got a black belt in judo.
Bizarrely, given the fact she’s covered in them, Elaine has previously admitted to not being a big fan of getting pierced.

Speaking in 2009, she said: “I don't enjoy getting pierced, but to break the record you have to get to a high level. I wanted to break the record.
“My family don't even like tattoos or piercings. But I am happy. I decided to change myself and be me."
According to her website, Elaine believes that being a Guinness World Record holder is a big responsibility as well as a commitment and, as such, she doesn’t smoke, drink alcohol or take drugs, so she can remain fully dedicated to her records.
