The long wait for the Avatar sequel is finally over - though some people have been counting down the days more vigilantly than others.
Edie Falco stars in the damn thing, but she revealed that she thought it had already come out years ago and flopped.
Watch her make the stunning revelation here:
Appearing on The View to promote the film - which she thought was done and dusted ages ago - Falco said she'd been busy, and given how long it had been since she shot her part, she assumed the world had long since seen her performance as General Ardmore, the new commander of the Resources Development Administration in the sequel.

"The second Avatar I shot four years ago," the 59-year-old explained. "I've been busy and doing stuff.
"Somebody mentioned Avatar and I thought, 'Oh, I guess it came out and it didn't do very well because I didn't hear anything about it.'
"It happens! Someone recently said, 'Avatar is coming out,' and I said, 'Oh, it hasn't come out yet?'"
She added: "I will never work again because I said that."

Incredible stuff.
Hey, she did what she was paid to do - it's not her job to sit and wait for years and years for the movie's release.
Fans have been waiting a long old time for the sequel. It was originally set for release in 2014, and is only just hitting cinemas - so maybe cut yourself some slack if you still haven't done the dishes (and just ignore the difference in scale between the two tasks).

The original James Cameron movie came out way back in 2009 and it was a colossal success, both at the box office and during awards season.
Avatar: The Way of Water sees the return of Jake Sully (Sam Worthington) and Na'vi Neytiri (Zoe Saldana), as well as Sigourney Weaver as new character Kiri and Stephen Lang as Colonel Miles Quaritch.
Kate Winslet and Vin Diesel have also joined the cast.
Set more than a decade after the first film, the movie follows the Sully family, documenting the battles they fight and the tragedies they endure to keep each other safe.

"There are a lot of surprises in terms of where the story goes in this film that we're not putting into the trailers – they have to experience it," Cameron said.
"It also goes a lot deeper in terms of the heart and the emotions."
The movie is in cinemas now.
