The movie was slated for release on October 3 2025, but The Bride! starring Christian Bale will be taking its place instead.

DC comic fans have been left 'gutted' by the news of the new release date, taking to social media to share their frustration and how they 'hope it's worth the wait.'
One DC fan commented: "This movie should NOT take them a whole 6 years to make, it's a joke."
"Please say this isn't true?" someone asked. "I've been waiting for this for so long, this sucks."
Another disheartened fan wrote: "I knew it was becoming more and more likely that this would happen but i didn't want to admit it."

"i'm not worried just let them take their time and not rush anything. The fans are already excited and hyped for more. The Batman 2 IS coming to cinemas," wrote one commenter who tried to put a positive twist on the news.
While fans' reaction to the news was clear, DC insiders have said the film has reportedly been pushed back due to last year's SAG strikes, and that a new release date couldn't be avoided.
The Batman was a major success when it hit screens two years ago and even became the second highest-grossing film during the pandemic, bringing in a global box office gross of a whopping $770.3 million.
