Jennifer Garner will reportedly be making her Marvel Cinematic Universe debut next year as she is set to reprise her role as Elektra in Deadpool 3.
The 51-year-old actor first appeared as the Frank Miller-created assassin in 20th Century Fox’s Daredevil back in 2003.
At the time, the movie featured her future husband Ben Affleck as the Man Without Fear.

Despite the 2003 flick not exactly being a box office success, two years later Garner went on to star in her own superhero movie — 2005’s Elektra.
Now, it’s been reported that the mum-of-one is back in the saddle and will be reprising her character in Deadpool 3. You can watch the original movie announcement below:
Despite first playing the anti-hero 20 years ago, multiple sources have apparently told The Hollywood Reporter that Garner is taking on the role once again in the new Deadpool film.

The actor is set to become Elektra again alongside Ryan Reynolds, 46, who will play Wade Wilson AKA Deadpool, and Hugh Jackman, 54, who will play Logan AKA Wolverine after claiming to have made his final appearance as the character in 2017's Logan.
Deadpool 3 is currently set to be released on 3 May 2024 and will be directed by Shawn Levy.
On production is Marvel head honcho Kevin Feige, as well as Levy and Reynolds himself.

Both Reynolds and Levy have been involved in scriptwriting along with Paul Wernick, Rhett Reese and Zeb Wells.
Fans believe that Garner’s involvement with the new MCU movie hints at a possible multiverse angle.
Of course, Marvel is not afraid of the multiverse and has already explored alternative realities and characters via Disney+’s Loki, 2022’s Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness and 2021’s Spider-Man: No Way Home.
Fans have been discussing the news of a possible Elektra return and whether Deadpool 3 will touch on the multiverse via Twitter.
