Guests at California's Disneyland were left chortling recently when a performer made a joke which certainly pushed the limits of what might be allowed at the park.
The gag was told by a performer playing Deadpool, who was appearing alongside a Wolverine performer in light of the new movie, Deadpool and Wolverine.
Performers at Disney's parks are known to go out of their way to give an a portrayal of their characters, which is true to their spirit.

So of course, princesses will be elegant and baddies will be dastardly and a little bit scary, though not too scary of course.
Anyone who is familiar with the character of Deadpool will know that the central premise of the character is his fourth-wall breaking.
This is a trope which goes all the way back to the comics where Deadpool sometimes appears to be aware that's he's a character in a story.

It's continued into the movies, with frequent quips about current topics often roasting the studio bosses, writing choices, or superhero movie tropes.
So it makes sense for the actor playing Deadpool at Disneyland in Cali to capture the spirit of the character, but many were worried the performer took it too far.
A video posted to Instagram by @gothgirl_doesdisney showed the moment.
While doing a double act with Wolverine the performer was telling a gathered crowd about an upcoming 'big battle' involving many iterations of Deadpool, including 'Cinderpool'.

Presumably that's a Cinderella-Deadpool, and not a pool of cinders.
Speaking to the audience, the performer said: "Cinderpool was late, because he had to read every single page in the terms and conditions when he signed up for Disney+."
The joke drew nervous laughs, and prompted the the Wolverine performer to reply: "I don't get it", with Deadpool saying: "Yeah, they do."
The performer had been making a reference to Disney's recent attempt to squash a wrongful death lawsuit by arguing that the plaintiff had agreed to settle any dispute with Disney out of court via mediation when he signed up for a free trial of Disney+.

The lawsuit has been issued by the family of a doctor who died from an allergic reaction she suffered from eating in a dining complex in Florida's Disney Springs.
People took to the comments to share their thoughts on the joke, with one praising the dark, fourth-wall-breaking humor, writing: "This is exactly what Deadpool should be in the parks. Keep it up."
Another commented: "That's canonical deadpool right there," while a third said: "If you have Deadpool he has to be Deadpool. Hats off to Disney."

Others were more worried though, with one saying: "He will NEVER be allowed to say that joke again but I’m so glad he did."
But some people thought the joke was in poor taste, with one commenting: "So a Disney actor is telling a joke about a ridiculous policy Disney has about a tragic incident, at DisneyLand, what's worse is the audience is laughing."
