People blown away by Dua Lipa in first trailer for her new movie

Dua Lipa stars alongside Henry Cavill and John Cena in the new trailer for Argylle

People are blown away by Dua Lipa's showing in the first trailer for Argylle.

The new film follows super-spy Argylle (Henry Cavill), who is drawn into a treasure hunt that takes him around the world.

However, the secret agent’s troubled past could jeopardize his mission.

Take a look at the Lipa in the trailer below:

As you might have seen from the teaser, the star studded cast for Matthew Vaughn's Argylle also includes Bryce Dallas Howard, Sam Rockwell, John Cena, Bryan Cranston, Sofia Boutella, Ariana DeBose, Catherine O’Hara and Samuel L. Jackson.

The official synopsis reads: "Bryce Dallas Howard is Elly Conway, the reclusive author of a series of best-selling espionage novels, whose idea of bliss is a night at home with her computer and her cat, Alfie.

"But when the plots of Elly’s fictional books—which center on secret agent Argylle and his mission to unravel a global spy syndicate—begin to mirror the covert actions of a real-life spy organization, quiet evenings at home become a thing of the past."

In the teaser, we witness Cavill's character face off against Lipa, who looks to be playing an antagonist of sorts.

You might remember her cameo in Barbie, however, this will be her first full-acting role.

Rocking up in a glittery gold dress, with matching shoes, the singer certainly looks and acts the part, as pointed out by viewers in the comments.

One person wrote: "i will watch argylle only for dua lipa, she's the plot (to me)."

A second commented: "dua lipa knows how to serve," while a third added: "the argylle icon, dua lipa."

"I know her parents named her dua cuz her duality is insane."

“When I read this early draft manuscript I felt it was the most incredible and original spy franchise since Ian Fleming’s books of the 50s,” said Vaughn in a statement last year.

“This is going to reinvent the spy genre.”

Unfortunately, you will have to wait a while to see her cameo in the movie, as Argylle will show in cinemas on February 2, 2024.

Well, it's safe to say that the UK pop star's transition to acting has certainly helped her music career, as her Barbie soundtrack song 'Dance The Night' soared up the charts.

Its peak position on the US Billboard Hot 100 was number six and became her fourth Number 1 on the Official UK Singles Chart.

"The fact that [Barbie director and co-writer] Greta [Gerwig] saw this film almost as a musical, and was so involved with the soundtrack, was an absolutely critical factor in how and why the music [has] worked so well," Kevin Weaver, Atlantic Records West Coast president and Barbie soundtrack co-producer, told Billboard recently.
