Emily Blunt says she is keen for an Edge of Tomorrow sequel if one were to be developed.
When asked about the potential for a sequel on an episode of the Happy Sad Confused podcast, Blunt said: “I wish there could be one.
“I’m so ready. I’m not the impediment I promise.”

The 2014 science-action film grossed over $370 million at the box office and has a Rotten Tomatoes rating of 91 per cent.
While Blunt confirmed that she had been given a sequel script to read, it appears logistics is the main factor holding the second instalment back.
It also seems a bit tricky to find time in the schedule of her co-star Tom Cruise.

However, Blunt was keen to get Cruise back on for the sequel, asking him to 'come back to this side'.
“How many Mission Impossibles does he need?” joked Blunt.
“Like wasn’t he brilliant as the cowardly hero.”
Despite the difficulties, Blunt remained eager for another film.

“I mean I would love to make it a reality but I just don’t know when or how," she said.
For fans who seem disappointed, not all hope is lost, as Blunt also revealed that director Doug Liman is just as keen as her for a sequel.
“He’s a madman. He once said ‘Hey, I’m flying to Martha’s Vineyard in my plane this weekend, maybe we could discuss The Edge of Tomorrow 2 on the plane'," she recalled.
Although she didn’t end up meeting with Liman on his plane, hopefully, this means more discussion about the sequel is around the corner.

And while Blunt seemed keen for another movie, there was one aspect she wasn’t too excited for.
The exoskeleton suits.
In the first film, Blunt was required to wear an armoured suit that weighed 85 pounds (38 kilos).

Even though this meant she didn’t have to wear one of those motion capture suits, Blunt said the memory and feeling of wearing one of those heavy exo-suits is something she’ll never forget.
“My back still tweaks out at me sometimes,” she joked.
“I’ll like turn funny in the car and I’ll be like ‘Tom Cruise!’” she said, shaking her fist.
Despite the occasional sore neck, Blunt spoke highly of co-star saying: “I adored him, he was the best.”
Apart from a potential sequel starring Blunt and Cruise, HBOMax has confirmed it’s working on a spinoff TV series which will hopefully be released soon.
