The first trailer for new Emma Stone film Poor Things is completely bizarre - but we love it.
I mean, it's pretty impossible to work out what's going on in the newly dropped teaser, but you can watch below to see if you can figure it out:
What we do know from the short teaser is that Stone is joined by the likes of Willem Dafoe and Mark Ruffalo, of whom she slaps in the face.

We have no idea why?
And the synopsis doesn't make it any easier to understand.
According to the film description, the Superbad actor plays a young woman brought back to life by scientist Dr. Godwin Baxter, played by Dafoe.
It looks like Dr. Baxter resurrects Belle from the dead as viewers believe her new beginnings to look somewhat similar to an 'acid trip'.

Bright colours, wonky buildings, olden time outfits, British accents - it seems like this teaser has absolutely everything.
"Under Baxter’s protection, Bella is eager to learn. Hungry for the worldliness she is lacking, Bella runs off with Duncan Wedderburn (Mark Ruffalo), a slick and debauched lawyer, on a whirlwind adventure across the continents," the synopsis reads.
"Free from the prejudices of her times, Bella grows steadfast in her purpose to stand for equality and liberation."

Stone is also a producer on the Yorgos Lanthimos directed film, which also happens to feature Ramy Youssef, Jerrod Carmichael Christopher Abbott.
While Poor Things is described as being an 'incredible tale and fantastical evolution' of Stone's character - viewers really don't know what to make of it.
"What in the acid trip is this," one person commented, while a second added: "Erm what the crap?"

"In the words of Benoit Blanc, 'It makes no goddamn sense'. Compels me though." penned a third.
Another person was just grateful to see Stone back in action, writing: "Nice to see Emma Stone back. I know she's mostly drop off the projects and spends more time with her new family, but I really miss her sometimes on screen."
"Searchlight Productions. Definitely gonna win the Oscar with their influence. Hope the movie is as deserving as it looks," someone else thought.
The script for Poor Things was written by Tony McNamara, while the film itself was produced by Element Pictures’ Ed Guiney and Andrew Lowe.
