Marvel fans are in for a huge treat with the third and final installment in the Guardians of the Galaxy franchise, which has been hailed the best MCU film in years.
Given the massive success of the Marvel Cinematic Universe space opera series, there was a lot riding on James Gunn’s final film for Marvel.
In the film, which hits cinemas this week, the Guardians embark on a treacherous mission to protect Rocket from the High Evolutionary.
Some comic book fans have been lucky enough to see the film ahead of its worldwide release and the views suggests it’s a major achievement for Marvel.

One fan tweeted the utmost praise for Gunn and the film and called it one of the best trilogies since Star Wars.
It really doesn’t get much better than that!
They shared: “Just watched Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3. It’s beautiful. James Gunn has delivered not only the best superhero trilogy of all time, but the best sci-fi trilogy since the original Star Wars movies. An absolute emotional rollercoaster, it’s incredible!”
Another fan praised the film’s humour and said Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3 is the best film since Infinity War, saying: “Just watched Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3. Yep this is easily the best MCU movie since Infinity War imo First MCU movie I cried during.

A third Marvel fan called the film an ‘emotional rollercoaster’ and a great end to the Chris Pratt-fronted franchise.
“Just watched this and I gotta say Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3 is the best Marvel movie in phase 4,” the Twitter user shared. “An absolute emotional rollercoaster!! you'll laugh then you cried. it's a very great conclusion to the trilogy. I love it so much!!”

In other intergalactic news, the new Guardians of the Galaxy film will be released in 600 different versions. So, we’re all literally spoilt for choice when watching Star Lord’s last adventure.

These different versions aren't going to alter the storyline or add extra details to the MCU in any way, so you won't be missing out on anything.
The idea is to release the same film with 600 different aspect ratios, to 'maximise their screen size for the audience.'
Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter about the release, Disney's VP of finishing and stereo, Evan Jacobs said: "So wherever you go to see it, you're gonna see the best version."

Jacobs added that this move marks 'definitely the most complex delivery Marvel’s ever done.'
Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3 is out worldwide on Friday, 5 May.
