Halle Bailey has been close to tears after revealing a doll has been made of her The Little Mermaid character.
In the lead-up to the highly anticipated Disney remake, the actor posted an emotional video of her unveiling the new figurine based on her Ariel.
“I have something very exciting to reveal to you all,” the actor says as she takes a deep breath.

She continues: “I am going to cry.”
She proceeded to pick up the new toy inspired by her, adding: “This is the new doll. I am literally choking up because this means so much to me, and to have one that looks like me and that’s my favorite Disney character is very surreal.”
The actor was pleased that the toy makers even included her signature ‘mole’ on the figurine.

Last year, when the first teaser for the upcoming film was released, heartwarming reactions of young Black girls viewing the trailer for the first time went viral.
In one TikTok video, a little girl named Sienna can hardly contain her excitement once she sees Bailey appear onscreen.
A starry-eyed Sienna asked off camera 'That is Ariel? That is her?' while ‘Part of Your World’ softly played in the background.
The clip reached one million views, with many commenting on how important representation is.
