A man on TikTok is challenging Netflix subscribers to watch a creepy film without 'freaking out'.
We're always on the hunt for films that will leave us struggling to sleep at night, and it seems this 2019 film in particular will do just that.
TikToker Chad (@moviesandbuff) took to the social media platform to to raise awareness about what he describes as one of Netflix’s ‘hidden gems’.

The self-described ‘movie nerd’ said: “I don’t give a f**k how hard or desensitized you are there’s no f**king way you’re getting through this whole movie and not f**king freaking out.”
The film he’s talking about is the mystery and thriller, I See You, which has at least one terrifying scene you should watch ASAP if you’re brave enough.
Chad continues: “If you don’t trust me, just go to scene 37 minutes in; let me know what you think. This is not a horror, it’s a thriller!”

The film, directed by Adam Randall, stars Helen Hunt, Jon Tenney and Judah Lewis. It is set in a small town where a bunch of strange occurrences take place. A detective and his family are then forced to investigate the disappearance of a boy.
I See You received a positive reception from critics and holds an impressive 75 percent approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes. The general consensus reads: “I See You gets tripped up on its own narrative contortions, but a solid cast and an effective blend of scares and suspense make this slow-building mystery worth watching.”
But despite the warm reception from critics, people who have seen the film commented that it’s not very good or scary.

“It was… meh. Not terrible but I’d never recommend it,” a third film fan shared.
While a fourth responded directly to Chad’s video and wrote: “37 minutes in… What’s so scary about someone opening their front door?”

And someone else quipped: “It wasn’t that good lmao.”
