Jensen Ackles has opened up about his unusual debut in The Boys involving him wearing 'nothing but a sock' – that's one way to make an entrance.
The Boys continues to be one of the most popular shows on Amazon Prime, and the perfect antidote to the dominance of superheroes on film and TV.
It's safe to say the fans were delighted when they found out the Supernatural star would be joining the cast for season three, especially since he's playing the pivotal role of Soldier Boy in the flesh.

And while season four has introduced us to a number of new characters, perhaps none are quite as anticipated as Ackles' debut, which finally arrived in the latest episode – 'Glorious Five Year Plan'.
Nearer to the end of the episode, the former World War II soldier who's described as a 'walking nuclear reactor' emerges from a cryogenic chamber wearing nothing but his birthday suit... oh, and a sock.
Speaking about the scene in EW's On Set series, Ackles said: "What better to bring a new guy onto the set than make him take all his clothes off?

"So yeah, it was a nice intro for me into a completely foreign space with nothing on but a sock. It was actually quite chilly..."
As Soldier Boy, the 44-year-old actor takes on an important role, one that's been compared to Captain America due to his World War II origins and his history as America's first superhero.
The Boys fans are certainly excited to see where the show will take his story, which is set to continue with the release of episode five next week.
This is especially true given the contentious relationship between Soldier Boy and Homelander (Antony Starr).

Speaking to Variety about this new dynamic, showrunner Eric Kripke said: “We need him [Soldier Boy] to become an existential threat to Homelander.
"We said, what would be the scariest thing to Homelander? And the scariest thing in the whole world to Homelander is just to be a regular dude. So giving Soldier Boy these blasts of sort of radioactive, walking-Chernobyl power that are frying the Compound V out of supes’ systems is going to make him very, very scary to Homelander."
Season three of The Boys is streaming on Amazon Prime, with new episodes being released each Friday.
