Bullet Train, a new all-star action movie from John Wick's David Leitch, has just got its first trailer.
Based on the novel written by Kōtarō Isaka, Bullet Train's plot is rather simple: five assassins find themselves on a Japanese bullet train from Tokyo to Morioka, and soon realise their assignments are all in some way connected.
'An original movie event, Bullet Train is a fun, delirious action-thriller from the director of Deadpool 2, David Leitch. Brad Pitt headlines an ensemble cast of eclectic, diverse assassins – all with connected yet conflicting objectives – set against the backdrop of a non-stop ride through modern-day Japan,' the official synopsis reads.

Watch the first trailer for Bullet Train:
Pitt heads up the cast – his first role since nabbing an Oscar for Once Upon a Time In Hollywood – starring alongside Sandra Bullock, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Joey King, Zazie Beetz, Brian Tyree Henry, Michael Shannon, Logan Lerman and The Last Samurai's Hiroyuki Sanada.
Kelly McCormick, Leitch's wife and a producer on the film who also worked on Bob Odenkirk's Nobody, spoke about Leitch being Pitt's former stunt double back in the day, and how their dynamic is 'obviously completely different' but they're still 'extraordinary partners'.
According to McCormick, Pitt was 'very dedicated to the project... in my opinion, this is a Brad performance that we've never seen him do before. It's light, it's fun, it's crazy, and he's having a ball, I think. And, we are too... he trained a lot. And, part of it, I think is because he's working for the guy who used to take the punches for him, so he has something to prove,' she told Collider.

Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, Leitch said, 'It was surreal. There were many times on set where I’d sit there and go, 'That’s Brad Pitt!' We have a relationship and a friendship from the movies we did together.
'It was really cool to come back in this new relationship where I’d grown as an artist, he’s grown as an artist and we are doing something that is leaning into both of our strengths. It’s something special that you haven’t seen from him or me.'
While Leitch 'was a little intimidated at the very start of the first week because they had such a different dynamic and relationship from before... it was kind of cute for them to figure out their lane and get into a rhythm and then for them to really form a partnership,' McCormick said.
