WARNING: CONTAINS SPOILERS FOR GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL. 3

However, not everyone is happy with the comparison which has sparked a bitter debate on social media.
After nearly a decade of the Marvel mercenaries, the Guardians of the Galaxy must come together to save the universe and one of their own.
Still haunted by the loss of Gamora (Zoë Saldaña), the group of misfits struggle to cope as Rocket’s (Bradley Cooper) dark past catches up to him.

With the gang now facing their deadliest foe, it's up to the remaining Guardians to save their loved one.
Starring Chris Pratt, Dave Bautista, Karen Gillan, Pom Klementieff and Vin Diesel, the film has won the hearts of fans and critics with serious praise for the three films.
Some people have even claimed the MCU movies are better than Christopher Nolan’s critically acclaimed Dark Knight trilogy.

One fan started on hell of a debate arguing that Guardians are light years ahead of its DC Comic competitors.
The tweet in question, by user @bigmonkeong, has since gone viral, with over 1.8 million people viewing it and responding.
They wrote: “Guardians of the Galaxy trilogy absolutely tops this because its the same level of amazing all the way throughout instead of peaking in one movie and the others not being able to reach that…”

Understandably, the post has sparked a massive debate between fans of the rival comic book franchises.
One Marvel fan even predicted the backlash from DC Comic devotees, writing: “They’re gonna come at you for this but you’re right.”
It was long before others hit back at the comments though, as DC fans defends the on-screen franchise.
In a pointed tweet, a Dark Knight viewer said: “Ah yes, because consistency is much more important than innovation and pushing boundaries.

"Why strive for greatness in every individual film when you can simply settle for mediocrity across the board?”
Another added: “Batman Begins is arguably the best out of the 3. Blends comic and grounded the best…Oh and it's next film was THE DARK KNIGHT….It's not even close between the two. GOTG is cute though.”
Much like superhero debates in primary school, the argument is still ongoing with over 500 comments since the tweet shared yesterday.
