The Marvels is set to bring back a beloved MCU character for Disney’s latest superhero blockbuster.
The Marvels final trailer before the film is released dropped on Monday evening and was able to stoke some hype online for the Brie Lawson-led flick.
The film will see Lawson’s Carol Danvers share the screen with Iman Vellani’s Kamala Khan and Teyonah Parris’ Monic Rambeau.
However, this isn’t the big news and the return of Samuel L. Jackson’s Nick Fury also shouldn’t come as a surprise as he has been confirmed for the film since the first teaser trailer in April.

While some MCU fans have spoken of superhero fatigue, rumors have begun circulating that Disney intends to bring back Chris Evan’s Captain America or Robert Downey Jr’s Iron Man, but this is unconfirmed and highly unlikely for The Marvels film.
However, the film’s trailer does play into Marvel’s past success with voice over from both characters.
But the surprising character that made a brief appearance was Tessa Thompson’s Valkyrie. We last saw Thompson in action alongside Chris Hemsworth’s Thor in Thor: Love and Thunder as they battled against Gorr the God Butcher.

In the cameo, Valkryie appears to give Danvers advice on how to fight against the film’s big bad, Dar-Benn, played by Zawe Ashton.
"You can stand tall without standing alone," she told Danvers, seemingly hinting at the hero agreeing to team up with Khan and Rambeau rather than work alone.
An official synopsis for the film reads: "Carol Danvers aka Captain Marvel has reclaimed her identity from the tyrannical Kree and taken revenge on the Supreme Intelligence. But unintended consequences see Carol shouldering the burden of a destabilized universe.
"When her duties send her to an anomalous wormhole linked to a Kree revolutionary, her powers become entangled with that of Jersey City super-fan Kamala Khan, aka Ms. Marvel, and Carol’s estranged niece, now S.A.B.E.R. astronaut Captain Monica Rambeau.

"Together, this unlikely trio must team up and learn to work in concert to save the universe.”
The trailer has divided fans but some have admitted to getting more excited for the flick after watching it.
Which can only be good news for Disney executives as the film’s first trailer ended up being the most disliked MCU trailer in YouTube history. It currently has over 812,000 dislikes to 539,000 likes. Only time will tell how if The Marvel’s marks the MCU’s return to form.
