Netflix users rejoice, for the streaming platform has finally listened to our complaints and implemented a 'long-awaited' feature.
Everyone has their bugbears: toilet paper being put on the wrong way round; sitting next to loud eaters; slow walkers and drivers; dirty dishes towering up by the sink; having to ever contend with buffering in this day and age; and my god, the scourge of unskippable ads on YouTube.
However, there's one that really gets under mine, and other people's skin: when your 'continue watching' section is full to the brim of things you'll never touch again, whether it's because you hated the series, couldn't be bothered finishing the movie or just wanted to revisit a particular episode for a one-off watch. The clutter makes me antsy.
Those woes are coming to an end, because Netflix will now allow its subscribers to tidy up their Continue Watching row to their heart's content.

'Inbox zero might be hard to achieve on email, but why can’t you bring that same enthusiasm to your Continue Watching row? We heard you, and that’s why we're introducing a new way for members to give your Continue Watching row a fresh start,' a Netflix press release reads.
'Starting today, members around the world can remove a TV show or movie from your Continue Watching row on all devices, including TV, with the click of a button. Simply click on a show or film, and select 'Remove from Continue Watching' from the page options. If you change your mind, you can also undo that removal by clicking the back arrow button.
'Whether you’re deleting a new pick you’re not feeling, an old favourite you’ve re-watched too many times or Marie Kondo-ing your whole row, this new button lets you constantly keep your Continue Watching row fresh and filled with the shows and movies you can’t wait to watch.'
The move has been heralded by users on social media. 'I hate the permanence of the continue watching list on Netflix. Like no I actually don’t want to be reminded that I watched 5 minutes of the hype house show a month ago. A low point,' one wrote. 'Oh hallelujah!' another wrote.

'Netflix giving you the option to remove shows from continue watching has cheered me up immensely. Even if it is seven years late,' a third tweeted. 'A button to 'remove from continue watching' has just appeared on my Netflix, and I swear my life is changed forever,' a fourth wrote.
