But according to fans of the show, this three-season show is so mind-bending, it will have you swapping your devices for notebooks instead.
Debuting in 2017, the series was the first ever original German series produced for Netflix.
It follows the story of two children who go missing in a small German town - giving Stranger Things vibes here - and the area's sinful past, which is exposed along with the double lives and fractured relationships that exist among four families as they search for the kids.

"The mystery-drama series introduces an intricate puzzle filled with twists that includes a web of curious characters, all of whom have a connection to the town's troubled history -whether they know it or not," the synopsis reads.
It continues: "The story includes supernatural elements that tie back to the same town in 1986."
The series in question is, of course, Dark, and you can watch its trailer below.
Its cast includes Louis Hofmann, Lisa Vicari, Gina Stiebitz, Maja Schöne, Oliver Masucci and Andreas Pietschmann, who critics have praised for their stellar performances.

Taking to the Netflix Bangers Facebook Group, one person asked whether Dark was worth the watch.
They received an overwhelmingly positive response.
"The best show ever imo!" one person wrote, adding: "Not a show to scroll on your phone at the same time though lol. Might even need a notepad haha."
A second agreed: "O yes, its a masterpiece," as a third wrote: "Best series ever. But you must be patient to understand it..."

A fourth claimed it was 'worth the watch.'
And it seems Rotten Tomato critics are in agreement, having scored it a stunning 95 percent.
Their consensus read: "Dark's central mystery unfolds slowly, both tense and terrifying, culminating in a creepy, cinematic triumph of sci-fi noir."
