Netflix has been knocking out more and more thrillers for you to watch, but this Appalachian-set movie is by far the best thing you can watch before it’s taken off the streaming platform.
With an 85 percent critics rating on Rotten Tomatoes, you’re going to want to get in on this before it’s too late!
Many of us might well still be reeling from the likes of four-part drama Adolescence, but the streaming service also has a whole load of 'hidden gems' on its roster that might have never even been on your radar.

And there's one thriller that's just that, and if you like the sound of some edge-of-your seat viewing, you're going to love it.

But there’s a catch…the movie is going to be taken off Netflix for good on April 14, so you have just days left to watch it before it’s gone.
The 2018 flick centers on an overachieving college student who gets lost on her way to a job interview, leaving her stranded deep in the Kentucky forest.

The student, Sawyer (Hermione Corfield), is seemingly heading towards a bright future until her wrong turn leaves her in a frozen forest, while a band of ruthless outlaws hunt her down.
That’s when she’s pushed to her limits, and starts to question her morals as she enters into an unlikely alliance with a shadowy figure with unclear intensions. Check out the trailer for the film - titled Rust Creek - here:
It’s giving the same thriller vibes as The Hunt, Run Sweetheart Run and Ready Or Not, and that’s a very good thing.

It’s so good in fact, that even Rotten Tomatoes can barely find a fault with it, and it’s been hailed as a hidden gem by Netflix itself.
One critic wrote: “By taking the time to breath life into these characters, Rust Creek makes a unique and worthwhile entry in the genre that puts a premium on heart and humanity over horror.”
Another shared: “A thriller that keeps its tension high and sharp for most of the film, while allowing the story and characters some room to breathe and explore various power dynamics.”

Someone else mused: “A strong thriller I had a good time with, despite some disorienting twists and turns. Crime thriller fans like yours truly will love the engaging plot twists and the incredibly tense climax.”
Obviously, there are those who were not as keen on the flick, mostly chalking it down to there either being ‘too much story’ or stating that the plot holes became too much for them, but isn’t screaming at the protagonist for doing dumb stuff in a survival situation kind of what thriller is all about?!
Anyway, while people have loved this movie, they won’t have long to re-watch it before it’s gone from the platform.
So, if you want to watch Rust Creek, it’s time to switch on Netflix, and fast.
