There are many things which are an essential part of the holiday season, and one fan of Home Alone 2 has pointed out a scene which seems to forget one.
Home Alone 2 sees the terrifying 10-year-old sadist face his old rivals/victims Harry and Marv in New York City.
The movie sees the McCallister family losing their youngest child a second time after he boards the wrong plane.

Once again it brings in the festive spirit, with Christmas in New York providing the backdrop to Kevin's adventures.
Christmas means a lot of things, but Home Alone 2 has New Yorkers frantically counting down to the big day, with all the stress and crammed streets that involves.
One scene sees Kevin heading into a toy store in New York, just a few days before Christmas.

Thirty years on from the movie's release, Twitter user Darcy McQuiggan pointed out a rather obvious omission.
He said: "As far as I can tell it's the only plot hole of Home Alone 2.
"Kevin is at a busy toy store in New York city a couple days before Christmas, chatting with the cashier who happens to be the owner, and no one is in line behind him."

Just a couple of days before Christmas you might expect a toy store in downtown New York to be thronging with people, and the owner of a toy store to be rather rushed off their feet.
Anyone who's had to fight their way through the gladiatorial games that is the supermarket on December 23 will attest to that.
All's fair in love, war, and last minute Christmas shopping.

But perhaps on this occasion it's permissible to engage in a spot of suspension of disbelief that the toy store owner would have the time to chat with young Kevin.
Home Alone 2: Lost in New York is the only sequel in the franchise to feature the majority of the movie's original cast.
But it was far from the last film in the Home Alone franchise. In fact, you might be stunned to learn that it doesn't even mark the halfway point.
That's because there have been six films in the franchise, with the most recent Home Sweet Home Alone being released just two years ago in 2021 and receiving largely negative reviews.
